Geriatric care? Well, it's very important and it appears that most of you don't have time to even take care of yourself because of the busy life, let alone the geriatric care. It's so not because of your life is so busy, but you have made your life so busy. Always remember that you are the maker of your reality and your reality doesn't support you. You are the one who supports it. It's you who have to decide how busy you can be. With proper time management, you can definitely make plenty of time. Time itself is an optical illusion which is always supposed to be made. Just have a check. 

What happens when you are aged: Every single stage of your life, be it childhood or old age, does have its own problems. Life is actually the solutions, you make to the problems around. Actually speaking, your old age is a sensitive phase. You are supposed to make the elderly live a comfortable life with proper medical care. It appears that when you are aged, the number and size of muscle fibers decrease and it takes muscles longer to respond in your 50s than they did in your 20s. The water content of tendons, the cord-like tissues that attach muscles to bones, decreases as you age. As a result, your tissues get stiffer and you will be unable to tolerate stress and strain. Actually speaking, old age brings some skin related issues like fragile skin as your skin becomes less elastic. This happens when the fatty tissue, below the skin gets reduced with old age. Your skin is likely to be bruised more easily. When you are aged, what happens is that the production of natural oils inside your body gets reduced and this can make your skin drier than before. This is how you develop wrinkles, and skin tags. Untreated Cataracts and other vision-related issues, common in older adults can affect their personality and behavior due to changes in visual perception. This is what makes seniors more likely to have visual hallucinations which the juniors fail to understand. With old age, you are likely to have some cognitive issues. It appears that the brain also shrinks like the rest of your body when you are aged and you start to develop some memory related issues. But the cognitive changes, you have are not going to affect your life seriously. 

What you are supposed to do: You are supposed to behave at the elderly well. Old age is the time when you expect more consideration from others and you have to try to understand their situation. You are supposed to understand people's situations and behave accordingly rather than extrude your emotional outburst upon them. Understanding a fellow being's situation is the spiritual transmutation, you have. Most health concerns for the elderly are memory loss, Dementia or Alzheimer's disease hearing, visionary or speech difficulties. Try to grab their attention. Put your hand gently on their shoulder or speak to them fondly. You are supposed to reduce background noise if the elderly don't like noise. Turn off the music or television if they don't like it when you speak to them. Speak clearly. Speak loudly. Repeat yourself. Have fun with them. Seniors throw temper tantrums for some reasons. Often, it's a result of the personality changes brought on by Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. They are likely to have emotional fits as a result of anxiety or depression in relation to their worsening health. You are supposed to do whatever is possible to promote their social interaction, which can definitely make them more active physically. Make sure that they eat healthy and show them they're loved. Always prioritize your family members and friends. Social connections are the key to happiness when it comes to the people of all ages. Make sure that your loved ones get proper mobility, medication, transportation, personal care and nutrition. Always remember that loneliness is one of the major feelings that an elderly person experiences. You can keep them engaged in whatever they like.
