You get knowledge out of learning and when you practice the knowledge, it turns out to be your wisdom. Your learning helps you get your consciousness expanded. And it marks your evolutionary cycle. How to learn faster? Well, it's definitely important and the process of learning should be continued throughout your life. There are three levels of the learning method: Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic. Yes you can learn by watching or hearing something. Kinesthetic learning, or Tactile learning is a learning style in which you learn by carrying out physical activities, rather than by listening to something or watching some demonstrations. In other words, Kinesthetic learning is the learning through your experience. Learning is 100% essential to your existence. As the food nourishes your bodies, information and continued learning nourish your mind and the way the brain works. Just have a look. 

What learning is: It's nothing but the activity or process of gaining knowledge or skill by studying, practicing, being taught, or experiencing something. The continuous learning actually helps you acquire critical thinking skills and discover new ways. Learning makes you 100% prepared for your future, helping you reach your fullest potential as a lifelong learner. 

A chemical process: Every single time when you learn something, your brain forms new connections, making the existing neural pathways stronger or bringing systematic adjustments like Cortical Remapping. Actually speaking, the brain continues changing right up until the end of your life and the more you learn, the more your brain will change and the more 'plastic' it will be. Neuroplasticity, also known as neural plasticity, or brain plasticity, is the ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganization. It's the process through which the unwanted neural connections are deleted and the useful, existing ones are strengthened. The human brain is capable of making change throughout life. Whenever you learn something new, the structure of your brain subtly changes to store the new information and the process is called 'Synaptic Plasticity'.

How you are affected: Studies have found that learning throughout your life can definitely improve self-esteem and can increase life-satisfaction, optimism and belief in your own abilities. It can even help you deal with mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety and some General Physicians even prescribe learning something new as part of the treatment package. The more you learn and practice a new skill, the more dense the Myelin in your brain becomes, which helps you learn even better. Myelin is an insulating layer, or sheath that forms around nerves. Your learning speed increases with denser Myelin. Learning a new skill more often helps you learn things faster over time. Each time you learn something new, It's enabling the Neuroplasticity. 

How you can learn faster: You can definitely improve the way you learn things. Just follow the steps below. 

Step 1 : Fix your time pattern: It appears that learning anything less than 30 minutes is just not enough, but anything more than 50 minutes is too much information for your brain to take in at one time. So what you need to do is know the time pattern your body is adjusted to, and learn accordingly. Fix the time span and learn and it's not generally good to learn continually for an hour. It's very good for you to set different intervals and learn things step by step. It helps your brain process more information. You will have more energy earlier in the day as your digestion is done and you are fresh. Studying in the morning works best, as the brain is more able to focus. Students who study during the early morning get the benefit from a refreshed and energized brain after a good night's sleep. It's most effective if you choose your learning time between 10 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 10 pm, when the brain can grasp more points as it is in the acquisition mode.

Step 2: Choose your own techniques: Your learning skill varies from person to person and the techniques through which you can learn better also vary from person to person. The reason behind it is that Creation is always different. The same pattern of Creation never goes progressive. It's only through difference that you can make progress. Take notes by using hand. It's because when you take notes by hand, you tend to listen more actively and you are able to identify important concepts. Taking notes on a laptop, however, leads to mindless transcription and is also an opportunity for distraction. You are supposed to review the information, you learned one or two days later. Your brain actually pays less attention during short learning intervals. So repeating the information over a longer interval–say a few hours or days or a week later sends a stronger signal to the brain that it needs to retain the information. Take a nap during your learning schedule. Having a nap between study sessions can boost your recall up to six months later as your brain gets fresh after nap. Maintain a healthy diet. It's like you reboot your Smartphone. Change the way you practice with your own techniques. It will help you have reconsolidation–a process in which existing memories are recalled and modified with new techniques. Use self testing to remember things learned, more often. Regular exercise and meditation stimulate the brain areas where learning is processed, especially the Hippocampus and the Frontal lobe. These areas are highly active during the learning process and Meditation can definitely improve your focus and capacity to memorise things.
