You have got the gift of laughter and you are supposed to laugh the way you enjoy it. Your laughter comes out of your happiness and laughter itself has the power to make you happy. Your primate relatives like Chimpanzees, Gorillas and Orangutans produce laughter-like sounds when tickled. Just have a check. 

What your laughter is: Laughter is  your physiological reaction to feeling, hearing, thinking, or seeing something humorous or funny. Laughter is basically a repetition of short, vowel-like sounds, involving the contraction of fifteen different facial muscles. When you laugh your breathing pattern changes, as your Epiglottis partially covers your Larynx, making you gasp for air. Sometimes, you are likely to produce the 'tears of joy' when you laugh. This happens because of the activation of the tear ducts when you laugh. When you laugh, the Diaphragm and other part of the Respiratory system make rhythmical or audible contractions producing the sound forms of  hee-hee' or 'ha-ha'. Laughter can be generated from such activities as being tickled, or from humorous stories or thoughts and laughter can also be classified according to the way you laugh. 

A chemical process: Laughter releases the Neurotransmitter Dopamine which serves as a reward for the brain, creating a sense of euphoria, and plays a pivotal role in your motivation to continue the behavior. Laughter causes the release of Oxytocin as well  which is often called the Empathy Hormone. Oxytocin promotes your group bonding tendencies. Laughter can improve your intake of oxygen, and stimulates the way your lungs, heart and muscles function. Laughter triggers the release of Endorphins in the brain, relieving your stress response. Endorphins; the body's natural feel-good chemicals can help you have the feeling of well being.

How you are affected: When you laugh, what happens is that you become less stressful in such a way that your muscles are left relaxed for at least 45 minutes after. Laughter boosts your immune system. Laughter is definitely capable of making you live long as it has the power to strengthen your immune system in such a manner that it can increase the infection fighting antibodies inside, making you more capable of fighting the diseases. It's so powerful that it can decrease your stress level, stimulate blood circulation, ease tension and help your muscles relax. Another important thing is the fact that you get more oxygen inside when you laugh and it can strengthen the way your heart and lungs work. If you have a best possible solution for depression, it's laughter. Your laughter can dispel negative thoughts, reducing stress and the risk of illness. The more you laugh, the more Endorphins are being produced in the brain and Endorphins are famous for improving your mood and relieving pain. In short, laughter relaxes the whole body. Laughter improves the way your blood vessels function, increasing the blood flow. Laughter can work against a heart attack and other Cardiovascular problems. Study shows that laughing for 10 to 15 minutes a day can burn approximately 40 calories, which could be enough to lose three or four pounds over the course of a year. Laughter lightens the heavy load of your anger. It strengthens your relationships, attracts others to you, enhances your teamwork, helping you defuse conflict and promoting group bonding. 

Always control yourself: You have Neuroplasticity which means that you can self regulate your neurochemistry on demand. You are supposed to set limits on whatever you do. Never overdo anything including laughter. Be careful when you laugh hard because it may stop your breathing or leave your body out of oxygen if your metabolism is not so strong enough. Always keep yourself strong with your regular exercise and a healthy diet. In such a vulnerable situation even death can be occurred through the process of Asphyxiation or Suffocation when you laugh hard. If you are an Asthma patient, you need to be careful when you laugh hard as it's likely to trigger an Asthma attack. Uncontrollable laughter can trigger Gelastic seizures. Hard laughter sometimes can also trigger Syncope which is the temporary loss of your consciousness due to the insufficient blood flow in the Brain. Some of you have the tendency to fart while laughing and it's because of the trapped air in your stomach by breathing or gas produced by some bacteria out of some food. The gas is forced out either through burps or farts and this occurs when you laugh hard as well. If you try, you can definitely develop the sense of humor. Always try to laugh and make others laugh...
