The souls who undertake different birth cycles learn the lessons via a number of mistakes they make no matter whether they are aware about it or not. Actually speaking, it's not the mistakes but attempts or efforts, you make as a soul to come to terms with the simulated environment. With a body on, you undergo simulated oblivion in such a way that you don't know anything about yourself or what you have taken a body for.
Who the Mistakees are: Mistakee is a spiritual term to address those souls who have to redo their grades of evolution multiple times mainly because of negative karmic vibrational order. Majority of you belong to the category of Mistakees. But it's not a derogatory term to address a soul and actually it's through mistakes that you become a super strong soul who can guide the minor ones.
Learning out of Mistakes: Together with the simulated oblivion, a soul gets its consciousness thoroughly filtered when it acquires a body. What a soul normally has is a simulated vision of separation only. A soul commits several mistakes willingly or unwillingly and those mistakes are triggered by the filtered vision. Such a life with selfish intention elicits more negative karma and the Mistakees tend to repeat the birth cycle of the same level of consciousness at different times until they get qualified enough to be graduated to the higher realms. The Mistakees need to undergo suffering to get evolved. It's never preplanned but you get what you put out and the Universe is holographic by nature. Given the repeated birth cycles, the body of the Mistakees is shaped by the existing karmic frequency order. The Mistakees usually suffer from handicapped body structure, some inborn diseases, deformities or some sort of physical or mental suffering. That's how they can burn the negative karmic frequency order.
The holographic cosmos: The entire Universe is holographic by quality and it's reflective and you get back only what you put out. The Mistakees need to bear the results of their mistakes for which they need to repeat their birth cycles. Your soul operates with a core karmic frequency order which you can improve day by day via the mixture of your thoughts, emotions and actions.
